Biography

Doug McCormick is an upcoming singer/songwritter from South Carolina whose amazing voice and energetic shows set him apart from any other in the business. His appreciation for true country music and the love Doug has for his fans keep his dreams alive.

Doug is currently a college student and is anxious to graduate so that he can pursue his musical career. However, Doug's schooling has done anything but hinder his progress in the entertainment industry. Playing around 100 shows last year, Doug is quickly seasoning as an artist, singer/songwriter, and most importantly to Doug, an entertainer. Doug has traveled all over his home state of South Carolina playing and is beginning to venture into the neighboring states of North Carolina and Georgia. His goal is to continue to expand his travels until he becomes a nationally touring artist.

Doug has completed and released his self titled Debut album. All material on this project are original songs written by Doug himself. Doug has worked very hard on this project and is very excited about its release.

Along the way, Doug has opened for many nationally known acts. Such acts include; Capital Records recording artist, Luke Bryan, Showdog records, Flynnville Train, Billy Joe Royal, Dale Watson, and Elizabeth Cook. Doug has also already headlined at nationally known venues such as The Handlebar in Greenville, South Carolina.

Upon graduation of College, Doug plans to put everything he can into his music. However, he is unsure at this time what this will mean. Doug hopes to move to Nashville and give it his all... win, lose or draw.
