04/30/12 Doug McCormick advances to finals in Battle for the
Saddle Competition
Doug McCormick brought his energy, genuine music, and
electrifying live performance to The Wildhorse's stage
for the
opening round in this year's Battle for The Saddle
competition. After a night filled with amazing talent
and solid performances, judges Michael Knox (Producer,
Jason Aldean), Jeff Howard (Booking Agent, APA), and Ron
Kerere (GM, The Wildhorse) made the decision to send
Doug to the final round of competition.
The finals will take place May, 29, 2012 and will host
Doug McCormick among 3 other acts competing for the
grand prize of; $2,500, a featured spot in the
Wildhorse's entertainment lineup, a performance during
CMA week, a spot opening for a national act, and a music
industry showcase hosted by The Wildhorse.

Doug McCormick will make his CMA festival debut! The
noon performance will take place on Bridgestone Arena's
visitor center stage. The acoustic performance will
showcase why Doug's music is rapidly gaining popularity
among the Nashville music community. This year's
festival features performances by Jason Aldean, The Band
Perry, Luke Bryan, Eric Church, Brantley Gilbert, Alan
Jackson, Lady Antebellum, and many more!

The Blue Bar in Nashville, TN is set to host an Industry
Happy Hour that will feature the sincere songwriting
talents of singer/songwriter Doug McCormick. The
acoustic showcase will take place Tuesday March, 13 at
6:00 PM. The event will serve as a speakeasy type event
for Industry and music fans alike.

"The Last Country Song" Impacts Country Radio!!!
Recent reports have shown that the title track off of
Doug McCormick's latest album release, "The Last Country
Song" has gained exposure in several major country radio
markets across the nation. Featured on Clear Channel's
nationally syndicated radio show, New, Uncover, and
Discover "The Last Country Song" was exposed to 1,000's
of country music fans last week. This is the second
single to be featured on the show behind McCormick's
first single release "Watch Your Mouth" which charted on
Mediabases top 100 and held the #1 position on XM 57's
top 20 countdown. Both were independent releases.

McCormick to share the stage with Texas's Roger Creager
Doug McCormick is scheduled to return to Atlanta, Ga's
Peachtree Tavern March, 31, 2012 to team up with Texas
Country Music superstar, Roger Creager for a show that
is guaranteed to deliver genuine country music at its
best. Grounded in his South Texas roots, Creager is no
stranger to success. His a high energy, charismatic
approach to music has landed him on top of the Texas
Country Music Charts on numerous occasions including his
current #1 single, "Surrender". "As a fan of Roger
